I started modelling this quite a while back but panic set in over the other project so I forgot to update my modelling progress... and before I had realised that I hadn't written an entry about my Mid poly model I had already started to UV map it, so no lambert photo I'm afraid but I'll still post the lovely checker patterned one just to prove that it has been all modelled.
Also the gun cylinder has to be remodelled because it takes up too many polys (around 1100) so it's really eating into my 2500 limit. I must avoid bevels and trying to smooth it out, let the texture do the talking. So it's quite good progress at the moment and a good point to carry on and get going with the high poly model. I don't think many changes need to be made to this one though, just remodel some of the parts and add a few more things and we should get closer to the 5000 limit.
Right now the low poly and mid poly models are completed and ready for texturing. Great!
